Bali is one among thousands of islands that make up the republic of Indonesia. In the midst of the most populous Islamic country in the world, this small island has remained predominantly Hindu. A thousand years ago many people practiced Hinduism across Southeast Asia.
Malaysia comprises two regions: the Peninsular Malaysia and the states of Sabah and Sarawak. It is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious federation of 13 states and three federal territories. The states of East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak) have separate immigration policies and controls.
